How to access the Nest?

Once you have your Product created, you need to authorize your Nest as described on the binding’s wiki page. On the right of your Product config page is a column labeled Keys. One of the items is the authorization URL. Paste that into a new tab and it will take you to log into your users Nest account.

I am in the Create Product Nest page and it seems like I am creating a Product that I intend to sell!

Is that really what I should be doing?

Yes, that’s correct. The typical user there is probably building some nifty commercial app or service with a private Product Secret (what we use for nest:client_secret=), but since openHAB and the binding are open source, there is no way (or reason) to keep a single secret. As a result, every user makes his or her own “product” as part of allowing access.
