How to create TLS Certificate for OpenHAB

Hello Guys,

I have an openhab system up and running for quite a few days now. Its perfectly working.
Now I want to add HTTPS authentication.
I am following the step-by-step guide posted in https://gist.github.com/jpmens/8029383.
However, I dont know how to create our own TLS certificates for OpenHAB as mentioned in the Step 2 of the guide.

Kindly someone guide me with the steps for generating a custom Certificate or to a post/link where the steps for the same are demonstrated.

There are quite a few guides online showing how to create your own TLS certificates. JP Mens has a very useful script for doing most of the leg work tho;
