How to Find Binding Names

  • Issue of the topic: Need assistance finding the binding name for bindings like Amazon Echo Binding so I can persist them in the addons.cfg.

It’s been a few years since I used OpenHab. My old configs don’t work anymore. I’m trying to use the manual setup via config files so that any reboots will persist my setup. I’m assuming that’s still a thing (UI ease vs. manually persisting configuration). However, I’m having trouble finding the name of bindings like the Amazon Echo Binding.

Defining things and items via ui will work and will also survive a reboot.

If you start from the scratch again, their is no specific reason to use text base configuration bedside your own personal preference.
