We recently added the ability to initiate firmware updates of the Hue Bridge via a Thing action command. See details here. Unfortunately while updating my bridge today it went offline and never came back. i.e. It is “bricked”. We don’t know if this was a special case for me, or if it was caused by triggering the update from OH rather than from the Hue App. But in any case I advise NOT to use the Hue OH Binding to trigger updates until we know more about the causes.
