Hue Outdoor Motion Sensor on native Zigbee

I am trying to get two Philips Hue SML002 ZigBee outdoor motion sensors to work. I can pair them to show “ONLINE” and get channels like

  • Switch
  • Temperature
  • Occupancy
  • Illuminance

But somehow I don’t get any events when there is motion on the Occupancy channel. Also, what is the switch for? When I try setting it to ON I get “OnOff converter is not linked to a server and cannot accept commands” in the debug logs.

This is with OH 2.5.0.M3 and 2.5.0.201909222250 ZigBee stack.

Other interesting thing is that the zigbee_neighbors and zigbee_routes is an empty array in properties. I don’t see anything happening in the debug logs, no updates at all. When triggering ZigBee search in PaperUI I can see that there potentially is connectivity, so its probably not a range issue:

Any ideas?

Please can you provide a debug log showing what is received from the device when it triggers motion. If nothing is received, then please provide a debug log showing what happens when the binding initialises the device (you will need to select the configuration option to reinitialise the device to see this).

Also, when pasting logs, please ensure that the formatting is not lost - the log above has a load of line feeds added and it makes it difficult to read, and more difficult to process automatically and the longer logs I’d expect will not be usable if this happens.

Thanks a lot for your response. As it did not receive anything, I tried the initialize switch, but that did not result in anything in the log either. So I deleted the Thing and reset the detector and tried pairing again. This time it seemed to work, I get a change in the occupancy channel on motion.
So I’m sorry for the noise and will report back if it would stop working at some point.

Hallo Andres,

I’m trying the same but sometihng doesn’t work. Can you help me, please? Don’t know what I did wrong but in PaperUI, I can see my new Hue Outdoor Motion Sensor with the 4 Channels but that’s it…

If you see it with 4 channels, that already sounds pretty good ;-). Did you create Items for those channels already, so you can check it from the “Control” part of PaperUI?

Please start a new thread. Your issue is likely different.
We will likely need debug logs as described in the documentation for When things don’t appear to be working.
