Influxdb string vs number

Hi all,

I created a string item, it got stored in InfluxDB, decided to change to a number. Now get this in logs. How do I clear the item out of the database so it can get recreated?

Oddly after a reboot and it went away. However I started getting

2018-02-06 01:11:52.285 [ERROR] [sql.internal.MysqlPersistenceService] - mySQL: Could not store item 'sprinklerNextHour' in database with statement 'INSERT INTO Item137 (TIME, VALUE) VALUES(NOW(),?) ON DUPLICATE KEY UPDATE VALUE=?;': Data truncated for column 'Value' at row 1

Took the easy route and just renamed the item…
