Install a Binding Manual to an existing APT-GET Installation

Hello,

i want to use the apt-get installation of openHAB 2, but i use the SimpleBinary-Binding. The Problem is, this Binding is not in the apt-get repository.
My question is now, is it possible to install a Binding manually to an existing apt-get installation?

Best Regards

Download the *.jar file of the binding and save it into: /usr/share/openhab2/addons

Wow thank you for the fast answer! And the upgrade funktion for the openHAB-package still works if i put this file manual into the folder?

Yes, it will work.

apt-get upgrade for openHAB 2 will keep your binding file in the addons directory.

dim, do you mind tell me how would I install the binding as below link? https://github.com/openhab/openhab2-addons/files/755413/org.openhab.binding.yeelight-2.1.0-SNAPSHOT.zip

is it simply change to jar from zip and place into /usr/share/openhab2/addons?
