Install openhab on synology, in country A to controle house in country B

Dear all,

I’m totally new at home automation and came across openhab.

What I want to do is like the next. I work and live in another country for a while now and run my synology server from that country. My house is in the Netherlands and I would love to connect my house to the server abroad. Is this possible?

I would recommend using myopenhab.org to be able to control your OH through the internet.
