Building a new house and the wife just requested an intercom system, any ideas?

I was doing major remodeling, in the course of which I installed ceiling speakers everywhere, and ran them to a central location.

I got the Lync12, and I’m short maybe two rooms. You can connect intercoms and the door bell. We hardly ever use the speakers to play music, but the intercom is used all the time.
Ya, I found the Lync last night, looks like a good solution for the cost. Is yours connected to OpenHab?
No, it’s stand alone right now, not integrated with anything really.
