I want to output my Inverter yield (current / daily) to go to Alexa so I can ask her about this… but how would I get the number straight into Alexa? - with the correct type (Watts)
My way would be on Alexa end to create a routine which on OH end will trigger a rule.
The rule then can use TTS to announce the number with a complete sentence.
Of course the will be other ( may be more professional ) ways.
Unfortunately, the unit of measurement for watts is not supported as of yet by the Alexa Smart Home API.
Although, you can still configure a read only RangeValue for your use case but you won’t have a unit.
