Issue reported when running openhabianconfig update

Hi,
I am really not sure what category I should post this message if it is in the wrong one please except my apologies.

I am trying to update my OH system, this has previously been something I have been able to do from the openhabianconfig script, note this is a linux Virtual machine NOT a raspberry pi.

however now it is complaining and suggesting I log an issue on git hub, I figured I would place it on the table here first to see if members of the community are aware of the issue and how to resolve it before I go bugging the developers. I may have also updated from repo at some stage, I cannot be certain.

My intention is to update to the latest stable and make sure everything is nice and cosy, currently I am not getting that warm feeling :frowning:

That’s fine but the openHABian developers only occasionally browse this forum (and if so, not looking for more work) so Github in fact is the better way.

Your issue ain’t known. I’d try deleting ~root/.git which seems to be corrupted for whatever reason.

I saw your comment and realised I runnin g it as root so I changed to user openhabian expecting great things, but alas the same error.
neither user has a .git directory in their home folder.

If some one could advise the git location for openhabian issues I will raise a ticket

Thanks

Paul

Search your disk for a .git. Might be in /opt/openhabian, too.

openhab/openhabian repo

Thanks, found it in the end using a google search and raised a ticket.
