[SOLVED] Items Manipulation via RESTful?

Hi, i’ve seen a side discussion on one of the topics that with OH2 there is the “official” preferred way to go via RESTful services instead of the direct http item/state… way it was done in OH1 (even if this still works).

Is that correct?
What is required, guess the REST-UI to be installed?

RESTful API is installed with core, but it’s nice to have the RESTful Documentation installed to get all sort of useful information :slight_smile:
