"Knx.things" location

  • Issue of the topic: simply can´t find the Folder or whatelse “knx.things” actually is.

I am a beginner to openHAB, i simply want to configure the knx bus.

You’re looking for xxxxx/conf/things folder, where xxx depends on your install. It already exists and contains a readme file,just browse for it.

found it but the folder only contains the readme file, do i have to create the “knx.things” or should be it installed by adding the Binding ?

Yes, it is entirely up to you to make a knx.things file.

Bear in mind you are probably following an outdated unofficial guide. You don’t have to make any kind of file, you can create Things and channels and Items in the GUI.
