LG Ess Enervu Powerrouter/Battery binding: Looking for testers

Hi Martin,

thank you very much for the hint. Sadly it didn´t work. I connectet to the lg ess home 5 network via WiFi and tried your proposal with die “Eingabeaufforderung” as Admin.

I got this response:

C:\WINDOWS\system32>curl -v --insecure -H ‘Charset: UTF-8’ -H “Content-type: application/json” -d ‘{“key”: “lgepmsuser!@#”},’ ‘https://192.168.23.1/v1/user/setting/read/password

  • Closing connection -1
curl: (3) URL using bad/illegal format or missing URL
curl: (3) unmatched close brace/bracket in URL position 14:
    lgepmsuser!@#},’
    ^

C:\WINDOWS\system32>

I´m a little bit short in time, next I´ll try to connect my laptop via LAN directly with the LG ESS.

I´l lkeep you up to date.

Many greetings
Manfred

Update for everybody having trouble getting the ESS password:

I also didn´t succeed via LAN. But:

I could get the password for my ESS with this expanation:

Look for the chapter “Fetch the device password”

You have to install the phyton App on your Android device. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.iiec.pydroid3&hl=de&gl=US

To fetch the device password you need to be connected to the devices Wi-Fi. ** Once you are on the Wi-Fi you can open The Python App on Mobile phone go to the Terminal run the following command to get the password.

pip install pyess

esscli --action get_password

Write the password down

With this password I could connect without problems to my ESS. Thanks for your good work!

Greetings
Manfred
