Just randomly have seen this you can place two same power supply in the same line, or you can go more professional and choose something like MDT redundant or abb with battery etc…
Remark!!!
(Before attempting to use two power supply’s on the same line pay attention for example in situations like having more consumption than what the supply can handle and also distance plus shortcircuit etc…CALL AN CERTIFIED INSTALLER)
Yes, that’s right.
In question of battery, I think it’s a little bit over-engineered (at least for private home), as in most cases without power there is no point to control something via knx anyway
I wanted to point out that knx has no single point of failure

@Max_G I just want to add a data point. Eleven years ago I built this house. I applied the principles of autonomic computing. My key goal was to achieve “gracefull degradation”. The expectation is that failures are isolated to small parts of the systems and massive failures are rare (as it happens with the human body). In 11 years so far I have never have a massive failure and I have endured controller networking issues, blown SSR, blown arduinos and tons of software bugs.
You can get an idea of the HOW on the article and page. If you are interested in details ping me
