Issue of the topic: I am really new to OPENHAB2 and I want to give it a try with my automation devices. However, for some reason I cannot make it work in my laptop. I am not really sure as in how to do it. I did the Prerequisites from the openhab guide for windows and downloaded Azul 8. However I keep getting once I open the localhost. I am not really sure where I messed up, so I’d appreciate any help you can bring!

You already have some program running that is using port 8080, 8443, 5000, 8101, or 5007. I think that particular error only occurs when there is some other program running on port 8080 or 8443.

Unfortunately, I don’t know how to change the port on the Windows install. I think you can set an environment variables with alternatives:

  • OPENHAB_HTTP_PORT
  • OPENHAB_HTTPS_PORT
