Lowes is clearing out their first generation Iris sensors for dirt cheap, so I picked up a few hoping to use them with my OpenHAB setup, since they’re zigbee devices, but am having trouble getting them working. OpenHAB finds them and adds them fine, but the thing status stays as Offline: Node has not completed discovery. Has anyone else had any luck adding/using these?
After a bit of research, it seems that the Lowes Iris gen 1 stuff uses a modified Zigbee protocol called AlertMe. The people over at HomeAssistant have a work around to get it working on their end (https://github.com/jamesleesaunders/PyAlertMe).
Is there any chance at something like this for OpenHAB?
