Meross MSS315 – Binding exposes only ON/OFF channel, energy data missing

I’m using a Meross MSS315 smart plug with the Meross binding in openHAB 5. The device is correctly discovered and functions via the Togglex channel (ON/OFF). However, the binding does not expose any channels for energy data such as:

  • power (Watts)

  • voltage (Volts)

  • current (Amps)

These values are visible in the official Meross app, which confirms that the device supports energy monitoring. It would be highly valuable if these metrics could be exposed as channels in the binding, allowing users to integrate them into openHAB for monitoring, automation, and visualization.

Device details:

  • Model: MSS315

  • Hardware: 9.0.0

  • Firmware: 9.5.52

  • Binding: Meross (openHAB 5)

  • openHAB version: 5.x (running on Raspberry Pi)

What I’ve tried:

  • Updated firmware via the Meross app

  • Tested alternative MQTT bridge (meross2mqttv2), which only publishes relay status

  • Energy data is not available via MQTT or the current binding

Request: Please consider adding support for energy-related channels in the Meross binding, if the device and API allow it. This would significantly enhance the functionality for users with energy-monitoring capable Meross devices.
