Got a strange problem with my hue outdoor motion sensors (using a hue bridge and hue binding on OH 5.1). The temperature and illuminance channels disappeared from all the hue sensor things. In the ‘Items’ they still show up though and they do report the correct values and receive updates.
Console ‘links orphan list’ is empty so the channels are linked. I tried to remove and add one of the things but no change. Any idea - binding issue?
Can you please provide the following information:
- Are you using Hue API v1 or v2?
- Details of your Things configuration
- Details of your Items configuration
PS can you please edit the title of your post to add the word “Hue” so people can more easily identify its context?
Looks like I was still using v1 - I removed it and installed v2 instead and that fixed things, thanks for pointing me to that. Having some kind of warning or info message with an upgrade recommendation might have been useful (from what I saw an in place upgrade is most likely not feasible).
I am glad it helped. Philips / Signify marks the v1 API as “deprecated” .. and I have the feeling that they are slowly dismantling it. This could explain why you suddenly encountered the issue. They have reworked a lot of the firmware in the bridges following their release of the new model..
