More ZWave Troubles 2.5M1

Hi,

I installed 2.5M1 as was recommended here to solve ZWave issues that I found out were part of the latest snapshot. I am still having quite a bit of difficulty.

I do have alot of devices. About 50. Currently, nothing works. Whats funny is that if you look at the log, everything appears alright. I do still also get alot of the following error:

Request node info not placed on stack due to error.

Sometimes I get some things to work some of the time. This stuff just doesn’t seem to just work. All the rest of my bindings seem fine. This one has been virtually constant trouble.

I do get messages from the Z-Stick and Binding such as:
zwave_serial_zstick_f34de27d_serial_can changed from 1467 to 1468

So… It’s communication. But no devices seem to work.

What’s the events.log supposed to show us? I can see there are a LOT of simultaneous commands you are generating.

Whilst this may not be the issue you’re experiencing, I thought I’d just share anyways. I bought a Steinel XLED Zwave outdoor light and included it in my OH2. Afterwards my Zwave network went to shit, odd stuff happening when it shouldn’t have been, etc.

Ultimately I ended up removing the Steinel from the Zwave network and everything else went back to normal. So, is it possible you have some dodgy device in yours? Or perhaps an incorrectly configured .items/.things file? I realise that having 50 devices could make this a chore but something to consider.

use code fences and follow How to ask a good question / Help Us Help You .
all those events happen at the same time, probably during some sort of initialization - it’s highly unlikely that you receive all those as zwave messages
your log does not show any zwave message so you have not enabled debugging.

If I was to guess zwave binding cannot access the serial port either because it’s misconfigured or a serial helper bundle is lacking. There’s various posts on this on the forum so go search these please.
