Mounting network folder without using ip

Hello,

in openhabian is there a way to mount a network folder without using the ip and running it using the device-NAME?
in fstab i have following line
//DEVICENAME/Public/sicherung_homeserver /home/openhabian/sicherung cifs defaults,username=XXX,password=XXX

but it seems for mounting you have to use the IP instead of name.
In this case i couldnt use the ip and have to rune it withe the name… is that possible?

Try putting the hostname in your etc/hosts file. I would think that should work.
