MQTT 2.4: no more autoupdate=false like feature?

as asked in the topic: is the old autoupdate feature gone?
At the moment the switch items changes its state as soon as the message is sent to the command topic. I’d like to to this only, when the state topic send the real state as an acknowldgement.

autoupdate=“false” work the same way. You have to set this option to the items.
