Just totally spit balling here but for snow, could you use a light sensor on the roof pointed up and if snow is on top of it… no light
Ok, would need a light source above it to work at night
gotcha, well blizzard is kind of thing which will mess with your bucket/heater system as well.
just find place where it can sit in like 1,5 - 2 meters above ground and measure distance from bucket bottom.
then you can easily get increase/decrease of snow during the time
it might or might not be working
