Need help sending SNMP command

  • Platform information:

    • Pi 3B
    • Xubuntu 16.04
    • Java 1.8.0_171
    • openHAB 2.2
  • I’d like to be be able to send an SNMP (set) command from openhab.

I can send snmpset -v 1 -c private 192.168.100.93 1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.4.4.2.1.3.17 i 2

in my items file I’ve got:
switch Office_Light “Office Light [%s]” { snmp="<[192.168.100.93:public:.1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.4.4.2.1.3.19:2] >[OFF:192.168.100.93:private:.1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.4.4.2.1.3.19:2] >[ON:192.168.100.93:private:.1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.4.4.2.1.3.19:1]" }

I’ve got the SNMP binding installed and manually set a different port (even though I’m not looking for traps)

But when I try to make a button or switch in habpanel, with the values of OFF or ON, nothing happens. I get the following in the logs:

2018-04-22 09:24:14.136 [ome.event.ItemCommandEvent] - Item ‘Office_Light’ received command ON
2018-04-22 09:24:14.143 [vent.ItemStateChangedEvent] - Office_Light changed from OFF to ON

What should I be looking at? thank you!
