- Intel NUC connected to an AV Amp via HDMI
- OS: Ubuntu 17.10
- Java Runtime Environment: 8
- openHAB version: 2.3.0 -SNAPSHOT Build #1281
- Issue of the topic: When issuing the command
smarthome:voice say "something"in the console, no sounds come out the speakers and I get the following error in the log:
[WARN ] [core.audio.internal.AudioManagerImpl] - An exception occurred while getting the volume of sink 'javasound' : Cannot determine master volume level - Please post configurations (if applicable): I have Mary text to speech engine configured as the default in the Paper UI and cmu-slt-hsmm - English as the default voice
I used openHABian Configuration Tool openhabian-config to set up the system and double checked all the right users are in the correct groups etc.
I’ve googled for answers, but only found one that was even close and didn’t have any luck getting it to work.
Any suggestions?
