Need help with Nest binding

I decided to give setting up the Nest binding once again and I’m running into trouble. Has anyone recently tried to use the Nest binding and succeeded?

I make it as far as the step to get the authorization code. But no matter what I try, after the redirect and logging in to Google I get

No access to partner

Information could not be retrieved. Please contact openHAB2 to verify that your account has been properly set up. You may need to add the developer email address as a home member in the Google Home app settings.

openHAB2 is the name of the project. It’s my second attempt to try this from scratch.

I’ve tried taking the project out of production and back to testing and putting in my email address as a tester. I own the “home” so I already am a member in the Google Home app settings.

Do I need to verify the consent screen before it will let me connect?

And advice is welcome.

Stupid question probably, but I assume you migrated your Nest account to a Google account?

A long time ago. Unlike many, I actually didn’t have any problem doing that. What I did have problems with was moving my doorbell over to Google Home though. But I’ve since then replaced the doorbell with a newer one and that one was configured in Google Home from the start. So that shouldn’t be a problem anymore, but maybe it is.

Hi Rich, I had the same problem 4 weeks ago, I carefully went over each single step and then at the end it worked. I did it 3-4 times. But now I am facing a new challenge, the request to move the project to production has been rejected by Google. In a development stage, every 2 weeks you need to generate a new auth code.
