Nest product ID, etc

I’m confused about the whole Nest situation. I have a Nest account and have a Google app script that accesses the API at https://[xyz].transport.home.nest.com, which continues to work in spite of Google closing down Works with Nest. Is there any way to obtain the product ID, secret and the rest of the information to use the Nest binding? Does the binding use the same API as I do?

It would be more accurate to say the API at: https://home.nest.com/

I have a suspicion that the account is not set up correctly to work with the binding, and that it probably can’t be changed.
