The binding is using the native ping utility. ICMP pings are not cached so responses should be visible immediately. I also advice to use DHCP for faster detection, because turned on devices are surely going to use DHCP after booting up.
If the binding does not work like the ping utility on a command line, it is a bug and I’d look into it if someone creates a bug report on GitHub with all known information.
My TV is set to static , it makes some other operations on my network cleaner for me.
OK, ill create the bug report on GitHub. The ping responses are immediate from my PC and obviously fail when I turn the TV off but the state change is extremely slow on my LAN.
