[Solved] Network binding windows 11 doesn't work. Always Offline. Problem

Trying to track the online status of my Windows 11 PC with network binding. Unfortunately the PC is always offline. It works with my iPhone. With the command

netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="Allow ICMPv4 Echo Request" protocol=icmpv4:8,any dir=in action=allow

I have activated ICMP. Unfortunately it still doesn’t work.

What needs to be set in Windows 11 for this to work?

Does your PC have a static IP address? If not, then you’ll need to set that up in your router. You’ll also need to turn off the Random Hardware Addresses feature in Windows 11, so that your router will always be able to identify the PC by its MAC address.

Thx for your answer. My iP Address is static and i’m connected through LAN so thad Random Hardware Address feature is not possible. Any other ideas?

I found the solution. The Problem was, that windows set internet connection by default to public. I set it to local and now its working.

Windows Setting → Network → Lan → Local Network
(Hope its right path. My Windows has German Language)

Ah, I’ve run into this too. Glad you figured it out!
