Hi Rohnni I resolved that problem by installing UPNP binding, but the OZW674 binding seems not working anymore … My understanding is that the binding works only in automatic discovery not manual, but I cannot trigger any more the discovery of my box. @lo92fr any chances to get an update or sharing of the code such that we can help ? thanks Al ---

I’ve got the OZW772.01 and gave up on the binding in the end. I’m using IPSymcon to make some of the controls accessible to HomeKit. ---

I am in the same situation. Our heating in the office uses a siemens setup with OZW772 device. I tried the binding first, then I tried adding a KNX IP interface, but apparently the KNX messages are proprietary to Siemens. So I’m interested in the IPSymcon approach. Is it difficult to setup? It could probably use MQTT to communicate with openHAB? ---

Hi It wasn’t too difficult to set up. I watched some of their videos, the only issue is cost, as I have to keep paying for the IP Symcon license. I have however got access to my heating and DHW via Apple Home and that’s very convenient. I have 12 spaces with radiators/3 underfloor and window sensors in 9 rooms. Eventually figured out how to create variables to make the HomeKit thermostat variable work for the Siemens system. It is running on a raspberry pi. I don’t use IP symcon for anything other than passing all the details into HomeKit. There is direct web access (I only have this configured to work within the home network) and an app too. ---

I got a trial license and got it connected to the OZW772 device. So far so good.. thanks for the hint! I was going to give up on integrating our heating system, but the mission continues! 🙂 ---

Can someone who as access to this device can give another try, and : - Tell me what error message you can see in Openhab UI ? - Send me the openhab log files, possibly with setting log level to debug before (log:set DEBUG org.openhab.binding.siemenshvac). Your building is really helpful. I had to read the setup instructions twice, but the auto-discovery makes it much easier to work with. The cache file on first start is a smart way to map everything. I even found a [plumbing trade guide](https://www.howtobecomeaplumber.org/) that explains similar step-by-step configuration for my own side projects, and it cleared up a few things.
