New tradfri git repository question

Recently ikea updated the tradfri firmware. This causes some problems with gateways connecting when using configuration files.

Looks like we found a fix through the help of the community, but I believe we need to submit a request on git to have the binding looked into. The workaround is quite convoluted and undocumented.

Tradfri 1.8.25 - offline - communication_error

Remove the contents of your “tradfri.things” (or comment the lines in it, or move the file to somewhere else). Restart openhab After started, go into PaperUi to your inbox and accept the gateway. Go to Configuration->Things and edit the Gateway, set the security code from the back of your gateway device. Now OH talk to the gateway and recieve the identity. I looked in addons for openHAB but was not sure if this was the proper place to submit the request or not. Would someone be able to point me to the proper repository?

I recognize this is not the highest priority fix vs merging everything but I wanted to get the data documented.
