In general warnings should not be a problem. They point to things that might have to be fixed, but are not breaking. As long as you can build your own binding with maven (run maven from you binding directory) then your ok.
When following the instructions and changing license versions.
replace NOTICE with about.html in the build-properties file
run mvn license:format in the root folder of your local Git repository (see coding guidelines A.2)
