No /etc/openhabian.conf file after image write

  • Platform information:
    • Hardware: CPUArchitecture/RAM/storage N/A
    • OS: what OS is used and which version Openhabian 1.8b
    • Java Runtime Environment: N/A
    • openHAB version: ? whatever comes with openhabian 1.8b from Releases · openhab/openhabian · GitHub
  • Issue of the topic: Manual openHABian | openHAB says that /etc/openhabian.conf should contain wifi name and password, but I can’t find the /etc/openhabian.coon ffile directly after writing the image. Is that OK or I’m missing something?

P.S. I can handle it no problem, but for some users it might be confusing.

I think that’s an error in the docs. According to this that file goes in /boot/openhabian.conf (when running it in Linux, when mounted to Windows that’s the only FAT32 partition and the only one Windows can read without additional software.

I think the docs need to be updated with the proper path.

I’m doing the initial start with ethernet, so I can’t confirm if the file is in /boot… I’ll do it when the system is up and running.
