[OH 5] Pegel Online binding does not update

I just figured out, that the binding for Pegel Online does not kick off the scheduling.

If I disable/enable it, it runs once and throws the following error message:

2026-09-24 11:59:37.796 \[WARN \] \[mmon.WrappedScheduledExecutorService\] - Scheduled runnable ended with an exception:
java.lang.NullPointerException: Cannot invoke "java.util.Map$Entry.getValue()" because the return value of "java.util.TreeMap.floorEntry(Object)" is null

Anyone any idea on why this happens?

Code base is openHAB 5.2.0.

In theory this can happen if level is below 0. Checking this via Aktuelle Wasserstände an den Bundeswasserstraßen | PEGELONLINE it seems possible! Can you check if the water level of your configured station is currently below / near zero 0?

Definitely it is below zero, currently at -0,22m.

And that is pretty ok since a relative level indication, not absolute related to the mean sea level.

Sure, my fault :frowning:
Fixed this already and will be part of the next release.
Please verify:

Thank you and don‘t worry. It hasn‘t been that case in many locations before. But I guess climate change will make it more likely to happen.

I’ll try to test it within the next couple of days.

I have some issue getting it installed on my docker container.
It raised some error messages during startup.

I guess I will leave it until it is released officially .

Hi,

I have the same problem. This snapshot binding needs Gson version 2.14.0 or higher. My Openhab 5.2 comes with Gson 2.13.2. This is the reason why ist can’t be installed.
