OH3.1 clean install - failed to install influxdb

HI

hope to receive support since influxDB failed on a clean OH3.1 installation. It was the very first thing I’ve executed after installation was done and entering config-tool, even before any dashboard settings.

I don’t use Influx and I’m not your personal support assistant so don’t ping me please.

Sure, but I guess you are THE guy behind openhabian, providing and maintaining the included scripts there. And as executing the install routine provided in config tool, I was facing the issue, looking for support.

and that’s why I need to solve anybody’s issue including yours ?

Create a debug log. It should show more information about why it’s failing.

Without further information it is not clear but it could be that it is related to this thread:

A solution on how to fix it is described in that thread ( permission for a file is missing ).

Thanks - after clearing the permissions (from the link you sent, post 4), I could sucessfully run the installation routine. Thanks for your support!

Perhaps someone could add the permission fix from @samtd to the openhabian-config tool?

That would be a temporary workaround that could be provided in openhabian-config.
As influxdb is a third party package it needs to be fixed by the owner of that package and can’t be done by OH maintainers.
