OH3: Binding replacement via addons folder

On my openhabian installation the folder for addons is here: /usr/share/openhab/addons

I need to check, couse in this folder I have *.kar files, not *.jar.

It is Pushover binding made for OH3. I got *.jar file from github.

I have OH3 M2 version.
There is no info in logs.

Did you compile it yourself? (The problem in my opening post was caused by a wrong parameter.)

No. Author of this binding made *.jar file.

The addons I installed in OH2 via that folder have always been .jar files, that didn’t change for OH3. Can’t sayif .kar were working,

The addons package was a .kar of all bindings.

Yep, same for me on M2. Thanks for pointing that out.
I cannot see the binding under bindings, but I can do Things → “+”, then I see it.

Same behaviour as the Paper UI in OH2.

after adding binding to
/usr/share/openhab/addons
everything works.

I´m trying to install this org.openhab.binding.volumio2-3.1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar and have had copy it in the folder you use but nothing happens
Can you give Me a solution ?

Tell us what version you are using

Note, there’s no specific message for the add-on additions.
Check the openhab/kar console using command bundle:list -u
The “-u” option display the file origins.

I had this problem the other day, I was using Samba share to drop the snapshot file into my addons folder but the share folder needed updating from OH 2.5 to OH3. My old Samba share folder was pointing to \openhab2 and the new samba folder was just \openhab. I hope this helps?
