Old files in backup file

Hi all,

when I started with openhab I created files like

home.sitemap
home.rules
home.items
home.things

Of these only “home.sitemap” is left because for the others I went for more specific filenames like “hue.things”, “corridor.rules” etc.

The strange thing:

If I do a “backup --full myBackup.zip” it still contains the old “home”-files.

find / -name "home.*" only finds “home.sitemap” on the whole Pi.

Where are these beasts hiding?

DId the find command find home.sotemap?

Yes

Did backup without “–full” and now have only active files in zip.
Still wonder where the old files hide.

Interesting! Yes this is curious. Makes me want to review the source code!

Only thought I had was the original option was appending to a zip file vs writing a new one.

I have to resurrect this thread.

I do a backup without the “–full” option.
Before that I clear the cache with

openhab-cli clean-cache

and by manually emptying

/var/lib/openhab2/cache and /var/lib/openhab2/tmp

On the server that receives the backup I also do the cleaning before restoring the backup.

And yet the old files are being installed.
