I have some itemes that I cannot remove from my environment.
Some time ago, I have switched ot a new Hue configuration and included all new items newly.
Now I cannot get rid of the old items.
Here an example:
Similar issue I have with Z-Wave things when I had to reintegrate my controlle and got a new controller ID –> all items had to be ihcluded newly’
The “old” controler ID is not available any more, and I changed all things in the definition file with the new controler ID
I’m pretty sure this was fixed in one of the patch releases of 5.0. Are you running 5.0.0 or the latest patch release?
You can always stop OH and edit the JSONDB file manually to remove these Things. Make sure there are no Links to the Channels of these Things and always make a backup first.
I am running already OH 5.1
But still the same issue.
This is there since OH4.
Is there a manual how to edit the DB-File?
I am not an expert for that ..
It happened when I was switching to Philips Hue Bridge supporting API v2.
Items are defined manually, but I switched all items to the new bridge, no old items are available anymore.
Same with the Z-Wave bridge …
Try to remove the thing twice.
After your first attempt of removing the thing status switches to removing.
Try again to remove the thing. When doing so you can ignore the prompt.
Thanks for this hint.
Looks like it is working.
After 2 items removed I have to refresh the site to get to the next items, but thats no problem
Thanks again
