Onkyo Play URI or TTS

I am using the onkyo binding to control my onkyo receiver…

Is there any posibility to play a mp3 file like

sendCommand(onkyoPlayURL, "http://192.168.0.20:8080/audio/myfile.mp3")

or to use TextToSpeech?

As far as I can tell, this doesn’t actually work on the Onkyo receivers. See here for my thread trying to figure out how to do the same thing. If someone figures out how to make it work, you’d make my day.
