The “Cloud Cover Total” is already available when setting `includeCloudiness` to `true`
For the other ones, please create a feature request issue at GitHub so that I don’t loose track of it.

Hi,
thank you for the great binding. It has always worked very well in my openHAB 4 setup. After updating to openHAB 5, however, I wasn’t able to find it in the marketplace. Am I missing something?

Thank you in advance!

No you are not, it’s just that I need to allocate some time to check that it works properly with OH5 while still working with OH4.
And then I would need to update the post in “add-ons” to include this new version in the supported list in the title.

I’ll see what I can do (I already received a PR for some support), but please bear in mind that this is all done during my free time.

One thing that people could try is to take the 0.3.1 JAR file from the [add-on](https://community.openhab.org/t/open-meteo-weather-forecast-binding-4-1-0-0-5-0-0-0/154355) message and place it in the `addons` folder of their installation.

I just did that on a blank installation and it did not trigger any errors in the log, while being able to add the bridge and a forecast thing which started receiving values.

I haven’t done further testing just yet, but I would appreciate if people could do this experiment as well and report back here.

Uninstalled marketplace version, dropped 0.3.1 in addons folder, no issues since yesterday.

Log is clear, valid data is present. Thx a lot 👍

Version [0.4.0](https://github.com/obones/openhab-binding-openmeteo/releases/tag/v0.4.0) is out with OpenHAB 5.0 support, past values options, cloud cover details and current groups equal to hourly groups.

As usual, please remove the binding and add it back again to get it properly updated.

For those of you using the community marketplace, please note that there are now two posts in the appropriate [category](https://community.openhab.org/c/marketplace/bundles/73).
This is because there is a slight difference between OH4 and OH5 on one method that the binding relies on. As the impacted line of code is rarely called, a JAR file for OH4 will work most of the time with OH5 but this should not be a permanent solution.

Many thanks for the quick update!
Everything’s working flawlessly for me on OH5.

Hello,

Thank you for this extension, but I have a problem. At around 2 a.m., the extension made an error and then I no longer received any updates. reported the bug on GitHub [No update after "Character N is neither a decimal digit number" · Issue #5 · obones/openhab-binding-openmeteo · GitHub](https://github.com/obones/openhab-binding-openmeteo/issues/5)

This is now handled in version 0.4.1
To update if you installed it via the marketplace, you have to remove it and then add it again.
Your items won’t lose their configuration when doing this

First of all thanks for your binding. I want to use this binding with 5.1.4, have installed binding, bridge and things. Is there a good example how to use the thing channels or a fully configured weather widget with an items file? Do I need a rule or some transformation?

From what I gathered while writing the various versions, “Split channels” (one channel per future day/hour per measurement) are most useful to apply to existing examples of widgets for other weather forecast bindings such as the one for OpenWeatherMap.

But I must admit that I have not used this much as I’m using the binding with my own ePaper based weather station.

Hi @obones, I’m nesys on GitHub. I opened [PR #12](https://github.com/obones/openhab-binding-openmeteo/pull/12) to add daily pollen forecast peaks.

I understand your preference for time series and would like to revise the PR accordingly. Before doing that, which approach would fit the binding best: adding a derived daily-peak time series for each pollen type, or documenting how to calculate daily maxima from the existing hourly pollen time series?

I’d be happy to follow whichever direction you prefer.

Thanks for your guidance!
Andrea
