I’m Sergio from Argentina, a newbie with Openhab2 (but not with OH1.x).
I did use Openhab 1.8 running over raspbian into a PI3, working with serial binding and RS485 USB adapter and all works fine.
When I decide to migrate to Openhab 2.1.0 the problem did appear.
OH2.1.0 installation went very hard but it is installed and working.
My problem now are the binding installation, when I go to PaperUI->Add-ons and try to install serial binding the wheel is spinning forever until I go to other menu, next when I back to Add-ons it appear installed but not appear into the inbox.
How can I solve this problem?. I think wich OH2.1.0 is unstable version yet.
The serial binding is still an openHAB 1 binding so it does not support Things that are added to the Inbox. So you configure it with files just like you would with openHAB 1.
I found a quick solution to my problem with copyright and paste the .jar file from /opt/openhab2/userdata/kar/Openhab-adonis-2.1.0/org/Openhab/binding to /opt/openhab2/addons folder.
All work fine now, but why can’t install it from paperUI?
