No, it is not part of ESH, as the name already says, it is part of openHAB.
It is developers choice whether an addon should be available for openHAB only or even be introduced into ESH.
Is there any roadmap to introduce in ESH ?
Not as I know.
It was designed just as an example how a “cloud” connection for openhab could be developed. As ESH is also used in commercial products, companies using ESH build there own “non-public” cloud connectors.
