Openhab Enphase Energy Binding

I installed the Enphase Energy Binding according to the OH web instructions.
I modified /etc/openhab2/services/enphaseenergy.cfg according to the instructions (API key + user ID).
I created a simple Item file (.items) using only the suggested entry for the number of Enphase micro-inverter modules (type = Number, including my Enphase site-id before the # character), and added this Item to my Sitemap file.

The Item- and Sitemap files are accepted by OH without warnings/errors, but the number of installed micro-inverters seems empty (-).
In the provided example items file, it seems a Thing or a Group named “Solar” is used, is this name mandatory? Or should I replace this by something specific/different? If have no Thing file defined, is this correct?

Does it work with the latest stable version 2.5 released last month?

1.x binding don’t use thing files. Did you maybe install the 1.x but read the docs for this one [New Binding] Enphase Envoy Solar System gateway?
