Openhab won't start. Message "No service was found."

for the community market place function you can look under settings then community market place then set the enable community market place to off.

For the remote repository go to settings then Add-on management slide the Access Remote Repository to off.

You then can download the add-ons manually as was mentioned in above post.

That should give you an offline version that should not have any requirement for internet other then of course any bindings you have installed that require internet access to function correctly.

Or if you hook up to the openhab.org for remote access then of course you will need the internet for that.

You may also want to disable all the auto discovery suggestion finders if you think OpenHab is cause some unexpected/unneeded network traffic on your local LAN. As for when these features arrived, I think they have been slowly added over the years, I do not recall the specific versions for each of these “enhancements” and feature upgrades, but I am sure one could go back through the release notes for the major versions to puzzle that out.
