openhab2/Homekit - Siri turns lights on before turning off

Hi everybody,

I’ve set up my lights in openHAB 2.5.4, inlcuding Homekit and all works fine.
o
Just one thing what annoys me a lot is: when I give Siri a voice command to turn off 1 light, it turns the light first on and than off. The same if I give the command to turn off all lights. First it will turn on all the lights and than turn it all off.

If I use the app from milight, Homekit from Apple or my own dashboard (HABPanel) it works all fine, i.e. it just turns off the lights, without turning them on first.

I think it has something to do with Homekit, as Siri itself is not configurable. But I’m not sure what I need to change in Homekit…
I configured the for every room the same way and as follows (and I think this config is causing the problem):
Livingroom
Livingroom Brightness
Livingroom Nightmode
Livingroom Whitemode

Config:
Milight Box2
VM Windows Server 2019
openHAB 2.5.4

Anybody any suggestions?

Thanks.
Dennis

is the status of the light shown correctly in home app?
i also use siri a lot and have not experienced this issue until now

If you look in your events.log, you’ll be able to see what commands are actually generated for each Item, influencing devices.
I would imagine that is something to do with your multiple groups, maybe sending brightness 0% to one comes with an ON artefact or suchlike.
