openHAB2 Homematic GATEWAY_EXTRAS not reloading new Variables

Hello Gerhard,

was it possible to find something inside the logfile?
I sent it via eMail…

Thanks
Jan

Hallo Gerd,

thanks a lot for your effort.
It is not so easy to change to a newer version, because the server runs in my qnap.
But I will have a try at the coming weekend.
Now i send the (old) complete Logfile via email.
It would be very kind, if you can have a look at the log.

kind regards
Jan

Hello Gerhard,

thanks for your analysis of the trace.
I will try to update to the latest Snapshot at the weekend.

regards
Jan

Were you able to fix the issue?

I’m currently having exact the same problem with my CCU1.

Started with clean OH2 installation.
Variables and programs from my CCU1 are loaded now.
(Snapshot 2.2.0)

Hello,
I have the same problem. My openHAB2 installation on my synology isn’t able to find the new variables i’ve created on my ccu2. The only thing that’s helping is a new installation of openHAB.
The switch: “reload all from gateway” isn’t helping to discover the new variable.

Can anybody help?

kind regards
Andree

was facing a similar problem on a synology running openhab in a docker.
cured by deleting the GATEWAY-EXTRAS Thing, doing a rescan and adding the thing again as described here:

Hello rikky!

Thank you very much!
It helped!

Kind regards

Quick question, is this still the only way to get new / updated variables into openHAB?

As far as I know, yes.

I am not sure whether the OH core API allows adding new channels to a thing after the thing has been created. This would be necessary to add system variables after the creation of the thing, because the variables are modeled as channels.
