Openhab2 won't start after upgrade

I did an ‘apt-get upgrade’ of openhab2, and now it won’t even start. It looks like it has bad paths.
Launching the openHAB runtime... karaf: KARAF_BASE is not valid: /usr/share/openhab2/userdata

  • how did this happen?
  • how do I get my system working again?

Richard

i have the same issue with the windows-version. after updating from v2.0 to v2.1 via powershell, OH dont start.

How did you upgrade, did you use the upgrade scripts?

yes. i used the update-guide.

This issue (to which you replied) really seems linux specific, so I think that the cause is different. Maybe a good reason to create a new topic instead,

What output do you get, do you have any errors in the log?

the logs under userdata/log are from june 2017. unfortunately i cant find other logs. and i dont see an output. the command-line starts for half a second and then closes.

i execute the “update openhab” cmlet again and now it works. thanks for ur help anyway.
