OpenHABian first startup gets stuck

Hi, I’ve problem installing openHabian on Raspberry Pi.
here the installation.log with error message on node.js installation and “cloning myself”.

Even waiting hours the installation progress doesn’t go on.
I can access with SSH (even if i can see only the installation log) and I can also access through Web.

I already cleared the SD, put the image on again and re-installed all again.
Same result.

What’s wrong? How can I fix it?

I burned the image on SD using Win32DiskImager instead of Etcher.

All worked perfectly

Your choice of tool shouldn’t make a difference as long as it flashes successfully. Anyhow I suppose this is related to some other factor like a non responding server during the first try.

Glad you got it working! Enjoy!

Hello Thom,
I thought the same but I’ve tried 2 times with Etcher and despite the process was error-free, the installation on RPi was not succeeding.
Indeed with Win32DiskImager went through at the first tentative.

I’m getting is similar error:

I have a similar problem…
On every boot this initial setup routine seems to be running… It won’t finish it just stops…
If I interrupt with CTR-C I normally can use the shell and I can access the OH web interface via networkf.

regards, Dave

Dave, what’s your question?
Could you please post the last lines of your file /boot/first-boot.log?

thanks, already solved this by simply reinstalling openhabian…
