[openhabian] "Found multiple local interfaces - ignoring 192.168.178.43"

On my fresh openhabian installation (openhabian-pi-raspios32-202206272122 with openHAB 3.3.0 Release Build) I encountered the above WARN message.

The system is coming up with two wireless interfaces (wlan0 and wlan1), both are connected to the same wireless router using different IP addresses. The system (raspi3b) has a single wifi dongle.

I oberserved problems with the activated openhabian hotspot during initial install, disabled it in openhabian.conf. The setup worked after that. Could that be the cause?

A RPI3 has builtin Wi-Fi so that’s two interfaces now so no surprise you see them both.
The hotspot should only show up when you have NO inet connectivity but cannot tell what effect two wlan interfaces have, can be anything. It’s not supported to plug in another interface.
Also, as you know computers are binary based where 1+1=0

Ups, in this case I was on the complete wrong track!

The only explanation would have been: it was much to hot…

Sorry!
