i am pretty new in home automation and want to build a system which is not connected to any cloud and tried to use Raspi with Openhab 2. I ordered the Pi 3B, a Telegesis USB Zigbee stick and some zigbee devices - one of the devices is the OSRAM Smart+ Motion Sensor with Zigbee support. The sensor was chosen because it was listed as tested with the zigbee binding (as far as i understood in the binding description.) Has anybody managed to get this Smart+ Motion Sensor working directly connected to the Zigbee binding? The device is discovered but it shows immediately as offline in THINGS. I tried with 2.40 stable and also 2.50 M1 Same behaviour ---

Which version of the Zigbee library are you using? [Log into Karaf](https://www.openhab.org/docs/administration/console.html) and type: ```auto openhab> bundle:list -s |grep -i zig ``` When you see versions smaller than 1.1.10, follow this guide to update: > [@Zigbee and zwave manual install script](https://community.openhab.org/t/zigbee-and-z-wave-manual-install-script/50270): > > A number of people have run into trouble performing manual installs of the Zigbee and Z-Wave bindings. hi, did you manage to get this combination working? I have the same problems here. I even deinstall the old binding and use the update script so the versions are 1.2.1 and 2.5.0 of the library. Its the same behavior. Any Idea? ---

didn’t get it working with the Telegesis Zigbee stick so I got an Ember and with this stick I got everything working immediately. If anyone is interested in a used Telegesis USB device please let me know. ---

hi, what Ember do you use? I think, I change too. I tried to get it work with no luck. I even change OH2 to unstable with help from here, but nothing works. Telegesis seems not to work with Osram Smart+ Motion Sensor. I think it is a good idea to leave a warning, that this combination is not working. ---

It should be possible to flash the Telegesis stick with an Ember firmware, so maybe wait a bit before buying one. Still waiting for details though, see [this thread](https://community.openhab.org/t/zigbee-telegesis-stops-working/81815).
